The new Mestre By-Pass, open to traffic on the 8th February 2009 connects the A4 motorway, at Dolo, with the A27 motorway at Mogliano and the A4 at Quarto d'Altino, which completely cuts out the industrial urban area of Mestre.

The new bypass means that the traffic is now separated, all commercial traffic from the urban system is now deviated and remains directly on the motorway.

For guests coming to Union Lido Park & Resort there is no route variation:  from south the itinerary to follow the signs direction Venezia with the exit from the motorway at Mestre and then follow the Mestre ring road and the exit for the Airport-Jesolo-Cavallino (on the motorway be careful not to take the Trieste exit). From the north the exit is still the  one at Quarto d’Altino.
